PHOENIX, ARIZONA--- In a highly anticipated press conference, embattled Maricopa County, Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio offered what he claims is undeniable proof that President Barack Obama's birth certificate is a fraud.

Flanked by experts in the field of law enforcement and document analysis, Arapio stated his committee's findings that the long-form birth certificate released by the White House in an attempt to quiet allegations that Obama was not a natural born U.S. citizen was not only fake, but "an imminent threat to national security and U.S. immigration laws".

The target of frequent criticism by the White House, Arpaio formed his "Cold Case Posse" to investigate the commander-in-chief's eligibility to hold the Oval Office after suspicions rose questioning the president's true nation of birth.

Although claiming to have been born in Hawaii, the president's school records list Kenya as Obama's place of birth. When confronted with these findings, the White House had initially claimed the discrepancy was simply an error, but the president's refusal to release a state issued birth certificate raised the suspicion of Arpaio, along with many of the president's strongest opponents.

Under mounting pressure to prove the president's eligibility to hold office, the White House to took the unprecedented step of releasing what they said was the president's official, state issued birth certificate listing Hawaii as his place of birth.

The release did little to ease suspicions and speculation only grew as it was discovered that Hawaii Revised Statute 338-17.8 requires only that a person be an established resident of Hawaii, not necessarily a U.S. citizen, and pay taxes there for one year in order for an out-of-state or foreign-born person to register with an official Hawaii birth certificate.

Urged by citizens of his state and high profile supporters such as Donald Trump and Secretary of State Ken Bennett, Arpaio announced that he, along with a carefully selected team of detectives and document experts would fly to Hawaii to investigate the legitimacy of the president's birth certificate.

Before announcing his team's findings, Arpaio came out swinging against much of the liberal media stating "You have demeaned this investigation at every turn" adding "your contempt about the subject and me for pursuing it has been duly noted.”

Results of the team's investigation were announced by lead investigator, Mike Zullo, who stated simply, "that document is not real".

Among the committee's findings were inconsistencies in the a birth certificate coding system used in the document which did not match the coding system used at the time of Obama's birth, sworn statements by experts and forensic analysis proving that the document presented as original had, in fact, been altered.

Arpaio's findings were not cause for celebration, he said but instead, cause for grave concern for national security. “Although I am having a difficult time deciding who to forward this information to given the fact that the obvious choices report directly to the president, I cannot stand by and hold on to information that threatens to weaken national security,” said Arpaio.

According to statements given to World Net Daily, Sheriff Arpaio plans to move forward with his findings in order to uncover the truth about Obama's nationality.
