Murder, Incorporated

Murder, Incorporated

America’s largest breast cancer charity announced last week that it was cutting ties with America’s largest abortionist. It ended the week apologizing. Just when Susan G. Komen for the Cure thought it was out, Planned Parenthood pulled it back in.

“There are many lives he saved with his generosity, children healthy today because he provided the funds to battle cancers ravaging their bodies.” That’s how John Gotti’s widow remembered her husband.

Barbara Boxer has a similar conception of Planned Parenthood. “I think the decision by the Komen foundation to cut off funding for breast-cancer screening to Planned Parenthood is a disastrous decision for 170,000 women who over the past five years got that service and appreciated it—and many of them, their lives were actually saved by it,” Boxer told CBS.

Planned Parenthood and the Mafia are in the same profession. Just not in the way Mrs. Gotti and Senator Boxer imagine it.

Like the Mob, Planned Parenthood isn’t really in the cancer-fighting business. They are in the public relations business—this by the necessity of the unsavory nature of their real line of work. That’s where breast cancer “screenings” come into play. Like a gangster ostentatiously bankrolling the local patron saint’s festival, Planned Parenthood flashes the pink ribbon to distract from its grisly raison d’être.

Women are more likely to get a mammogram at the Bada Bing than at the local abortuary.

“Planned Parenthood doctors and nurses teach patients about breast care, connect patients to resources to help them get vital biopsies, ultrasounds, and mammograms, and follow up to make sure patients are cared for with the attention they need and deserve,” the group’s website explains. This is another way of saying that they take Komen’s money but don’t bother buying expensive mammography x-ray devices.

Planned Parenthood seeks to avert the public’s focus away from its focus. The group’s website claims that just three percent of its services involve abortion. But its phone lines beg to differ. Call and a prerecorded voice informs: “For abortion services, please press 1. For all other appointments, services, or requests, please press 2.” Why does the three percent get top billing and the 97 percent fall under the catchall “press 2”?

The overheated rhetoric portrays the withdrawal of grants to this one organization as an assault on women’s health. But the money would have still been spent on anti-cancer efforts, just elsewhere. As it turns out, Komen grants total less than one-one thousandth of Planned Parenthood’s budget. The racketeer can’t let one mark get away with not paying protection money lest the other marks get similar notions.

Abortionists playing oncologists may seem like mission creep—or mission creepy. It’s really mission cryptic. The abortion industry recasting its enemy as cancer rather than kids is the Mafia Don obscuring his criminal endeavors with a waste management business.

What did Tony Soprano know about selling rather than eating the meats out of Satriale’s Pork Store? Why did Michael Corleone move into real estate with his International Immobiliare acquisition? What’s Jack Nicholson’s Frank Costello doing hanging out in an auto body shop in The Departed?

Killing cancer is popular. Killing is not. The former masks the latter. The “front” is an old mob trick.

So is the shakedown. Once you give the Mob money, you will always give the Mob money. Payment doesn’t get the goons off your back; it ensures that they stay there. Komen has strangely funneled millions of dollars to Planned Parenthood. When the smaller group announced that it would stop the non sequitur payments to the larger group, they didn’t get a note of appreciation for past generosity. Instead, thugs disrupted the operations of the disease-fighting outfit for refusing to pay tribute. Say “hello” to my little friends.

Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Planned Parenthood) took to the floor of the House of Representatives to challenge the breast-cancer charity’s tax-exempt status. A city councilman in Cleveland crafted a resolution demanding that the mayor deny a permit to the local “race for the cure” event. A Planned Parenthood supporter even hacked the foundation’s website.

This is just a gangster’s way of saying “thank you.” Abortion über alles.

Planned Parenthood on a slow day processes more souls than the Mafia does during a hectic decade. Komen is in the business of saving lives. Planned Parenthood is in the business of taking them. Why are they even in business together?
