Jack Welch, former head of General Electric and , seems to believe that the risible drop in the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ unemployment rate was caused by some manipulated stats or intimidation from the Obama Administration.

The numbers are bad enough, trust me. Welch is no fan of the Obama Administration. On CNBC’s ”Squawk Box” not long ago, Welch said. “It’s so clear, it’s so simple. The Republicans should be winning this election and with this economy, this situation. It’s frightening.”

Hilda Solis, the country’s first anti-job Labor Secretary responded on CNBC, saying, “It’s really ludicrous to hear that kind of statement. We have to look at across the board, not just one month.”

Exactly.

Though not conspiracy theorist on this, I did point out some of the incredible strange trends within BLS numbers a few months ago. And here’s John Hayward on the confusing numbers.
