The Democrat Party of Lake County, Florida, did this:
Yes, that is an American flag with Barack Obama’s face in place of the stars that normally represent the 57 states.
It flew for several months before the local veterans got wind of it. As Fox News reports, they were not amused. Not one little bit.
"It's absolutely disrespectful," Jim Bradford, a 71-year-old veteran who participated in the Bay of Pigs Invasion told FoxNews.com. "It's totally ridiculous. To put somebody's picture there, to me, it's a disgrace to do that."
Bradford, an organizer with the Veterans Memorial at Fountain Park in Leesburg, Fla., snapped photos of the flag and distributed them to fellow veterans and friends. By late afternoon, he and several other veterans delivered a copy of the federal flag code to Nancy Hurlbert, chairwoman of the Lake County Democratic Party.
"We read that to her, but she would not accept that," Bradford said. "The discussion finally got a little bit heated."
The idea that any citizen of the United States, of any political persuasion, needs to have the wrongness of this outrage explained to them is mind-boggling. The modern Democrat Party has become a culture so alien that if Captain Kirk encountered it, he’d beam back up to the Enterprise and slam the warp drive up to maximum to escape, lest his crew be driven mad by sustained exposure.
But the Democrat Party of Lake County, Florida still doesn’t really understand what’s wrong with their creepy and offensive cult of personality:
Bradford said Hurlbert apologized for the incident, but did not offer any promises that it wouldn't fly again.
"What really upsets me is that the flag had apparently been flying for months and no one had done anything about it," Bradford said. "I've got no hard feelings toward [Hurlbert], but people will be driving by there to make sure it doesn't go up again."
Hurlbert said Tuesday's incident was the first time anyone had complained about the flag, which she received as a gift two months ago.
"It leads me to believe that it's not about the flag," she told FoxNews.com. "Certain elements cannot accept Barack Obama as president."
Hey, supporters of all the other Presidents felt free to deface the American flag to worship their Maximum Leaders, didn’t they? Only racism could explain why a bunch of military veterans would suddenly object to clear violations of the flag code. Besides, everyone knows King Barack floats above the body of law that straitjackets lesser men. Surely he’ll just wave aside any goofy old statutes that inconvenience his devoted worshippers!
Remember when a picture of Obama was defaced to look like the Joker from “The Dark Knight,” along with the logo “Socialism,” and liberals went berserk? But these Democrat apparatchiks see no problem whatsoever with defacing an American flag to pay tribute to the Chosen One.
Oh, and just for good measure, the flag was made in China.
