Top Palestinian Official Plans For a Judenrein State

Top Palestinian Official Plans For a Judenrein State
Our partners in peace have some big dreams.

Mark your calendars, because this coming Monday, September 19, is the day Palestinians will ask the United Nations to declare them a state. There are probably enough votes in the General Assembly to give them what they want. The Israeli government will then furnish the U.N. with some buckets of sand to pound, and things will go downhill from there.

What kind of state will the great parliament of mankind attempt to carve out of Israel’s kidneys? The Daily Caller offers some details, gleaned at a breakfast meeting hosted by the Christian Science Monitor:

“Well, I personally still believe that as a first step we need to be totally separated, and we can contemplate these issues in the future,” he said when asked by The Daily Caller if he could imagine a Jew being elected mayor of the Palestinian city of Ramallah in a future independent Palestinian state. “But after the experience of 44 years of military occupation and all the conflict and friction, I think it will be in the best interests of the two peoples to be separated first.”

Who’s the source of this quote, calling for the first officially judenrein state since Nazi Germany? Oh, it’s just the PLO ambassador to the United States, Maen Rashid Areikat. Nor is this the first time he’s floated this charming proposal:

Last year, Areikat made a similar statement during an interview with Tablet magazine. Asked whether it would be neccessary to transfer and remove “every Jew” from a future Palestinian state, Areikat responded “absolutely.”

“I’m not saying to transfer every Jew, I’m saying transfer Jews who, after an agreement with Israel, fall under the jurisdiction of a Palestinian state,” he said then. “I think this is a very necessary step, before we can allow the two states to somehow develop their separate national identities, and then maybe open up the doors for all kinds of cultural, social, political, economic exchanges, that freedom of movement of both citizens of Israelis and Palestinians from one area to another. You know you have to think of the day after.”

Oh, well, that’s not so bad. We’re not talking about seizing the property of every Jew and kicking them out of their homes, just the Jews who “fall under the jurisdiction of a Palestinian state.”

Um… wait, okay, so does that mean he’s magnanimously offering to let Jews who don’t live in the new Palestinian state to keep their homes? That’s awfully sweet of him, although former White House press gargoyle Helen Thomas will be terribly disappointed.

The author of the Daily Caller piece, Jamie Weinstein, emailed the Jerusalem Post to wonder why the world community seems so comfortable with this kind of language:

Similar comments coming from an Israeli official would merit worldwide condemnation. But we hear nothing from the world community when the Palestinian ambassador to the US calls for a Jew-free state. Pushing for a state for the Palestinian Arabs is well and good, but it seems like the world should spend a little bit of time pondering what sort of state it will be.

Aerikat went on to say that Jews might not be the only ones unwelcome in the glorious new Palestinian state:

Meanwhile, in response to a query from John McCormack from The Weekly Standard about whether homosexuals would be tolerated in a newly formed Palestinian state, Areikat said “This is an issue that's beyond my [authority].”

So getting rid of Jews is something Aerikat can handle on his own, but he’s got to make a few calls back to the home office for a solid answer on the gays. I wonder whose “authority” that would fall under.

You don’t hear much about it from Western liberals, who are primarily concerned with using homosexuals to re-define marriage, but gays are not treated well in much of the Muslim world. And by “not treated well” I mean “crushed under walls.” Many of them seek refuge in Israel, while being careful to avoid the Gaza Strip, where Hamas has already decreed homosexuality is punishable by death.

The Palestinians think President Obama supports their bid to get a U.N.-mandated state, for the silly reason that he made a point of saying so in a major public address. The Palestinians have even been using Obama’s own words in their media campaign, which is the kind of low-down dirty trick that gets you reported to Attack Watch.

So, if you’re gay or Jewish – and especially if you’re a gay Jew – and you live in the part of Israel that the United Nations plans to hand over to Hamas and the PLO, you might want to hold off on performing any home improvements, or purchasing anything you can’t carry while moving at a brisk trot. Also, don’t buy any clothes that wouldn’t look good with a yellow star sewn on.
