BLOG INTRODUCTION

BLOG INTRODUCTION

Hello,

Welcome to my blog ‘What On Earth?’. The following is my explanation as to what this blog is all about. Most fair-minded people know that there is a heavy liberal-progressive bias in most of our print and news media. There is also this same bias in our television shows and movies out of Hollywood, as well as in our public schools. Not only is there this liberal-progressive bias but there’s also a secular bias, which makes sense when you realize that the Democrats are mostly a secular (anti-Christian, anti-Jewish) political party. The media is a powerful tool for the progressives and is really the main reason they still have any viability despite mostly being unethical, fraudulent, lying dogs. This blog counteracts these biases. It’s a collection of articles, e-mails, and even pictures and cartoons which tell what’s going on in our country from a more Conservative – Republican viewpoint. It’s a blog that attacks those who I view as our enemies – Democrats, Islamofacists, public sector unions, atheists, gays who want to destroy our religious liberties, race baiters, activist lawyers and judges who think we have a “living Constitution”, baby killers, and our current administration which is attempting to bring our country down. Basically these groups all fall under the progressive-liberal umbrella – so-to-speak. If anything you read in this blog offends you, feel free to leave comments. No matter what you believe you have the potential to read a lot more truth than you may be accustomed to seeing.

I have included a lot of links (at the bottom of articles) that allow you to read more articles by the same author or about the same subject. Like most blogs it’s a chronologically ordered blog so many of the stories and articles correspond with what's going on at that particular place in time. There are also many historical articles as well because I love history and it’s relevant in both politics and religion. I’m not out to make any money with this blog and it’s obscure – I like it that way. I see it as a reference tool.

There is one long article that I wrote which is about how I used to be a Democrat (due to my indoctrination growing up) but eventually became a Republican. I think it is relevant to my whole purpose of keeping a blog like this one. If you would like to read it, click here. Don't forget you can always get back to where you came from by using the back arrow.

I wrote this introduction and decided to post it within the blog itself so I could make it more detailed, and then I added the link. Thank you for stopping by, and when you vote – if you care at all about our country - vote Republican. If you may have any overall comments about this blog this would be a good place to leave them.

2-27-11 A word about my 'What On Earth' and 'Stories' blogs

My political-religious blog "What On Earth" has been in existence since August 2007. It has been a fast paced blog that moves quickly and articles that I believed were important became buried quickly. I have sought out a remedy for this and what I came up with was another blog which works in tandem with WOE where I could put the more important articles on a much slower paced blog - where they wouldn't get buried so fast and would maybe actually be read by more people. So that is what my "Stories" blog is for - the slower paced blog. I reposted several articles that were buried on the WOE blog on this Stories blog. Recently I decided to post LP (long player) threads on the Stories blog. These are threads with a theme containing many articles that follow this theme. Basically it's so you can read various opinions from differing angles on the same subject easier, whereas on the WOE blog you would have to hunt around and dig more within the blog to accomplish the same thing. Today I decided to provide links in the contents (lower-right-side) for these LP threads on each of these blogs. I believe they are informative to read - if you are reading this you should check them out sometime. Again these links are on the lower-right-side toward the bottom under LP (long Player)links.

As I've mentioned before in my introduction these blogs come from a Conservative-Republican viewpoint and is unapologetically biased in this direction. If you want the opposite viewpoint - check out our mainstream media. They are everywhere and have influence on many. They also rarely deviate from their narrow narratives. I recommend checking things out from both sides and seeing how they stack up against each other. I just don't want to waste much space on liberal-progressive-democrat bullshit on these blogs.

Thanks for reading!

OH NO!!!!! God decided to delete all the people who he couldn't argue with! I was polite with you so you had absolutely no reason to delete my comments other than the fact that you knew that I was correct

Skyboy,

You were not polite - you were rude. I can't argue with those who don't comprehend what they read (whether you refuse to or you just can't). You are the definition of a troll and trolls aren't allowed - so go away! I showed you I can make you disappear and that's what I will continue to do - I will not waste another minute with you. Go back to the Huffington Post where you will be accepted.

I dedicate this to you Skyler - the self-admitted liberal that we all like so much...

THE LIBERAL PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: verse one...

I pledge allegiance
To the agenda
Of 0bama, Pelosi, and Reid.
And to the confiscation
Of wealth and success,
Higher taxes,
More regulation,
With poverty and Government dependence for all.

THE LIBERAL PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: verse 2...

I pledge allegiance
To Obama
And to believe everything I hear in the media
And to Planned Parenthood
Who kills our babies
One World Government, under Soros
With taxes and spreading the wealth for all

THE LIBERAL PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: verse 3...

I pledge allegience
To Socialism
And to Marxism, Totalitarianism, and Communism
And to Saul Alinsky, who honors Lucifer
One government, in control
With no Christians, but the Muslims are cool

Skyler said...

Whats wrong with spreading the wealth to everyone? That's equality

Brett said...

Skyler,

There's no such thing as equality - it's a fairy tale. To make things equal for one you have to take from another. Men are not equal to women. A doctor is not equal to a bank teller. I will never be equal to NBA player or some Hollywood actors. My point is no matter how much our government tries to legislate equality - it will never happen and they know it will not happen. They do know they can make some people believe they can make it happen, so they can keep us all divided by greed, race, sex, etc. The bottom line is they do it so they can stay in power. So who loses - we the people (especially taxpayers but really everyone). People like you and I are the losers when government becomes larger. There's only one power that we currently have and that's voting. The choices are very clear. My main intention with this blog is to show people what's out there and to try to give them clearer choices on who to vote for - sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't, but I will keep trying.

Skyler said...

You're taking far to broad a view on the equality issue. While it's true that not all people can be exactly the same in terms of looks, height, and athletics, the government can make all people pay a fair tax on the amount that they pay and in doing so narrow the gap between the economic classes. I'm not saying that we should become a socialist country because I know that that would never work. The rich are simply not willing to give up their power over the poor and the government. And I have only voted once in my life and that is because I believe that voting holds no power. That was shown in the Bush-Gore election when Al Gore won the public vote by an undeniable majority of half a million voters but Bush still won because our votes do NOT matter. The electoral colleges normally pay attention but sometimes they don't and when they don't they tend to screw up.

I think if you really want fairness as far as taxes go - have everyone who has earnings pay a lower flat tax and eliminate all of the tax credits, deductions, and subsidies. This would be fair, but it would also never happen because too many (rich, middle class and poor) would have too much to lose that they would be unwilling to let go of - because of greed. Those in government believe they have to have a way to entice people to vote for them and they think they have to give them financial rewards. So things will never be equal financially looking at it realistically. Socialism won't work (and it isn't working in all of the ways it's already working in our government) because there will always be the elite, who are above everyone else. The elite will consist of those in government, many on Wall Street, and the heads of corporations, but the ones of these that succeed will be determined by government - so it's really government whose in control. The people will basically be slaves, but maybe we'll be more equal to each other(like Cuba, North Korea, Russia, etc.). We will not have any freedom left over our lives.

Hopefully we can agree that some people have more value than others, and it just works better when the market can determine that value (can determine what you are worth - what you can earn). If we are part of a cookie cutter world we will all be mediocre, and none of us will have the incentive or the will to succeed. This is where I see us heading.

The Electorial College works the way it was meant to work. It gives equal representation to each state, rather than giving the more populous states like California, Texas, New York, and Florida a big advantage over all the other states. If the popular vote was what won elections, then the east and west coasts would elect our President/Vice President, and I wouldn't like it one bit. It's already bad enough that essentially the democrats control the urban areas and the republicans control everywhere else.

Brett said...

It's a good thing that Al Gore didn't win! What an asshole he turned out to be! All of his monumental lies about global warming and climate change which have cost the taxpayers untold billions and are still fleecing us. Al Gore is quite possibly the biggest hypocrite known to man. Plus he's an even bigger horn dog than Bill Clinton - if that's even possible. Al Gore is a huge reason we are not using our abundant fuel supplies, and as a direct result our fuel and electricity costs are way higher than they should be, causing the ripple effect by making the costs of just about everything else higher. This is the way the democrats are leading us to doom because they refuse to reverse course and keep listening to the know-nothing environmental wackos.

Walter Williams, an older black man who happens to be a wise economist - pegged our main problem when it comes to tax fairness. He notes in 2009, the top 1 percent of American income earners paid almost 37 percent of federal income taxes. The top 10 percent paid about 70 percent of federal income taxes, and the top 50 percent paid nearly 98 percent. Roughly 47 percent of Americans pay no federal income tax. Here's my fairness question to you: What standard of fairness dictates that the top 10 percent of income earners pay 70 percent of the income tax burden while 47 percent of Americans pay nothing?

The fact that the income tax burden is distributed so unevenly produces great politically borne fiscal problems. People who pay little or no income taxes become natural constituents for big-spending politicians. After all, if you pay no income taxes, what do you care if income taxes are raised? Also, you won't be enthusiastic about tax cuts; you'll see them as a threat to your handouts.

Brett said...

What we have in our country is something the black community has been dealing with for years. "The crab bucket theory." You have a bucketfull of crabs. When any of the crabs try to climb up the side of the bucket to escape, the other crabs reach up and grab them to pull them back down. This is what's happening - the democrats (and the mainstream media) have fooled those who think they are poor (the so-called 99%) into behaving just like these crabs in the bucket - at least some of us. Many of us still refuse to be fooled. Don't let them fool you Skyler.

Skyler said...

Brett,

Please don't take any of this personally but the flat tax rate is complete bullshit. What that was was a way to try and lower the tax rate on the rich while maintaining the votes of the moddle and lower class. And it does seem fair to me for the people in this country who make the most money to pay more taxes. Many people in the top percent make upwards of several million dollars a year. And the 47% of Americans who pay no taxes? The majorityt of them are either living below the poverty line or are stock investors who manage to weasel their way out of paying taxes each year. Al Gore is not the reason that oil prices are so high either. OPEC and the war in the middle east, started by George W. Bush, are both raising the prices of the worlds oil. Al Gore raised the price of oil for a short time but his effect died down quickly. And while you might not believe in global warming you do have to admit that the climate is becoming fucked up. I visited southern New Mexico this winter. If you remember this winter was one of the warmest on record but New Mexico, which has been in a drought for some 10 years, had gotten nearly 6 inches of snow. I am not being fooled by the media I have seen the effects of global climate change for myself. And while I understand the need for the electoral colleges in order to keep the states equal I still believe that the vote that they cast should be linked to the popular vote of the people

Brett said...

Skyler, the flat tax would lower the tax rate for everyone, however some people would end up actually paying more taxes because they wouldn't have the same deductions, credits, subsidies, or tax shelters they had before. Even with all of this stuff that we have now - the rich still pay way more taxes than everyone else on the average - that's indisputable. The rich (which btw includes many small businesses) are our job creators - you don't want to increase the taxes on our job creators in this economy - it will just lead to fewer jobs. Add to this the uncertainty of the increased costs of ObamaCare, and of the massive numbers of new regulations by our EPA and other goverment agencies - then you have way fewer jobs and fewer businesses hiring. It's never going to get better until the democrats are removed from power. Throughout our country's history any time taxes have been raised, the total tax revenue has decreased. The rich can afford accountants who help them discover ways to save on their taxes. If they own a business thay can also pass these added cost on to the consumer. The bottom line is they have way more options than you or I so we are the ones who end up paying more. Myself and my wife for example - we are probably in the top 10% as far as earnings go. We tithe 10% of our earnings to our church, give to charities, we have 5 children so we max out on the child tax credits, and we have home mortgage interest deductions. I would be willing to give up all of these credits and deductions if everyone else would as well - that would be fair. However it's never going to happen because there are too many people who would be unwilling to give up these credits/deductions because they know it would increase the amount they pay in taxes significantly. Spreading the wealth around is pure fiction (just like equality and fairness), and it's also a form of socialism.

I also disagree about the popular vote - we are a republic, not a democracy. I've already explained why it wouldn't work. Our country would never have lasted as a democracy.

Climate has always changed - always shifted throughout the history of man. It has been proven that Global Warming is a complete fraud, a hoax. I have nothing against wind and solar power and I think we should keep working to develop them and improve them, but they make up about 2% of our total energy. In the meantime we should be using all of our other forms of energy - oil, natural gas, coal, nuclear power, that Obama and the democrats are trying to bankrupt. The fact is the Obama administration and the democrats are actively bringing us all down by any means necessary and they are succeeding to a degree. Then they turn around and try to blame it all on the republicans (with a major assist by the mainstream media). I don't think enough people are buying it and they will find out in the 2012 Elections if they don't know it already.

Skyler said...

If the electoral colleges were linked to the popular vote of the state then you would get the presidents that the people want instead of a select group.s And yes the climate has always changed but over hundreds of thousands of years. Since the Industrial Revolution, temperatures and sea levels have risen. While this is a natural cycle human beings have increased the speed to an unhealthy amount for the planet. Saying that it has always happened is like saying that a persons heart has always beaten. If you speed it up too much the person will die. And nuclear power has been on the decline ever since the 3 mile island disaster. Obama has actually tried to build new nuclear plants

Brett said...

I don't think we are ever going to elect a President that the people want because the people have less power. Unless a person has massive financial support - there's no way they will ever be president. I would say the mainstream media and special interests (of both parties) have more of a say of who gets elected president than we the people. If only people would think things through and think for themselves. Global Warming - the average temperature here on earth hasn't increased since 1997. The sea and ocean levels have risen in some places, and decreased in others - this is natural. Man has increased pollution in urban areas, but a lot of pollution also happens naturally. It doesn't hurt to decrease pollution and emissions but our government goes way overboard in ways that hurt us more than help us. Obama shot down the only nuclear plant that was set to be built recently. Obama and his administration has been consistently impeding all energy use except for wind and solar power. Many solar power companies are subsidized by our government and have went bankrupt because they cannot compete with other energy sources that are more efficient and economical. The costs of almost everything have increased dramatically as a result of our inefficient use of energy (on purpose by the democrats). Again the democrats need to be removed from power or things will just keep getting worse because none of their ideas work. Democrats won't admit when things they try don't work, nor will they accept any blame - they just shift it to others and hope their dupes will believe them.

Skyler said...

You just described a republican

Brett said...

Oh, good one Skyler! I don't think so.

Skyler said...

But i do. And by the way Walter Williams endorses laissez-faire policies which are a terrible idea. If the industry sets work standards according to its needs and wants then labor unions and over time are out the window and child labor is replacing them. Would you really trust a guy who endorses that? Because I wouldn't

Skyler said...

I just love your take on gun control by the way. While it's complete bullshit it certainly sounds nice to say that he only people we are taking guns away from are law abiding citizens. Did you realize that the majority of suicides are with a gun? It's because guns make things so much easier. If people want to protect themselves they should just buy some mace or a german shepherd

Brett said...

Skyler - you're still alive? I would've thought you would have OD'ed on drugs by now. Yeah mace and a german shepard should work real well against an armed criminal - who would just shoot them. Yeah, good idea.

Don't be rude or I'll just erase you like when you were so rude before. I don't have as much patience for people like you.

Skyler said...

Really? How was I rude

Skyler said...

By the way, I was just wondering whether or not fact check.org tells the truth or if they simply lie and do what the liberals tell them?
